 Autumn Apple & Cinnamon Crumble 

Celebrate the flavours of the season with this cosy, crowd-pleasing classic—perfect for cooler days and easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Topping:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ¾ cup plain flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 100g butter, melted
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. In a bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and lemon juice. Transfer to a baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.

To Serve

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of cream for the ultimate autumn treat.
