Autumn Apple & Cinnamon Crumble
Celebrate the flavours of the season with this cosy, crowd-pleasing classic—perfect for cooler days and easy to make at home.
Ingredients
Filling:
- 6 apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Topping:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup plain flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 100g butter, melted
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and lemon juice. Transfer to a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over the apple mixture.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.
To Serve
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of cream for the ultimate autumn treat.
